Come along and see behind the closed doors at Brighton Road Studios in this first [of what we hope to be annual] Open Studios Event in Gateshead
Reuben at Intrinsic Lines has completed a BBC film and live installation project, which involved the use of twelve shipping containers to mark the various stations of the Crucifixion.
Well - the builders have finished + artists and designers have moved in. Brighton Road Studios is now open and ready for business!
Brighton Road Studios has now been branded! We chose those clever boys at Glad creative to come up with and develop the identity for the whole project.
Today sees the start of work at Brighton Road Studios. The main building contract has been awarded to STP construction, a local firm who have worked on some similar buildings for other creative organisations in the region. STP were chosen as they provided a good price and good timescale for this project.
This week marks an important point in the development of Brighton Road Studios.
On the 1st of September the sale of Brighton Road Church finally went through and Mushroom Works CIC are now the proud owners of a church [soon to be studios!]
With Help from Arts Council England, One North East via ERDF and Gateshead Council, Mushroom Works CIC has secured enough funding to buy and refurbish this lovely building.
